- The applicants must be admitted to a higher educational program
- The applicant must be financially strong enough to meet the requirements of education fee and living in Denmark.
- The applicants must meet certain language proficiencies. That is, the applicants must be able to understand Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, English or German with a reasonable level of proficiency
- The applicant’s educational institute and educational program in which they are enrolled must be approved by a state authority or by the Danish Evaluation Institute, EVA.
- The applicants must have been admitted to a preparatory course. That preparatory course should meet the following requirements:
- The Ministry of Higher Education and Science must have determined that attendance in the course is a prerequisite for admission to a particular higher educational program
- The course must not have a duration of more than 1 year.
- You must have been admitted to the higher education program that the preparatory course is linked to.
Benefits of Choosing Denmark Study Visa
- The applicants of this visa holder are allowed to stay in Denmark for 90 days within a 180 days period.
- The applicants are allowed to work full-time for the duration of the internship. But that internship must be a part of the educational program
- The applicants are not allowed to work on this visa. Along with a visa, a limited work permit can also be granted. With this limited work permit, the applicants are allowed to:
- for up to 20 hours per week during the normal period of study from September to May, and
- Full-time through June, July and August.

Eligibility for the Denmark Study Program
- The applicants must be admitted to the study program
- The applicant must be financially strong enough to meet the requirements of education fee and living in Denmark.
- The applicants must meet certain language proficiencies. That is, the applicants must be able to understand Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, English or German with a reasonable level of proficiency
- The applicant’s educational institute and educational program in which they are enrolled must be approved by a state authority or by the Danish Evaluation Institute, EVA.
- If the applicant is under 18 years, then both of the parents must sign a declaration of consent to allow the applicants to study in Denmark.
- The applicants can be granted a residence permit to follow 1 year of a high school program if they meet one of the following three conditions:
- The stay must be arranged by a student exchange organization,
- The applicants must have started their high school program in their home country and want to do 1 year of their education in Denmark, or
- They wish to start their high school program in Denmark, and they must be able to show the documents of continuing the program.
Folk high schools
All the applicants who are enrolled in a course at Folk high schools in Denmark can apply for this visa. They can be granted a permit to stay and study in Denmark. This visa holder can stay and complete their course in Denmark.

- The applicants must be enrolled in a course at Folk high schools
- The applicant must be financially strong enough to meet the requirements of education fee and living in Denmark.

- The applicant’s Folk high school and a course in which they are enrolled must be approved by a state authority or by the Danish Evaluation Institute, EVA.

PhD studies
In order to apply for study visa for PhD studies, the applicants must meet any of the following requirements:

- The applicants enrolled in a PhD program abroad and wish to do a part of their program in Denmark.
