If you have decided to immigrate to Canada, then you must consider an option of Ontario in your list. Ontario is an amazing Canadian province to live, study and work with globally ranked universities and employment facilities. Every year, hundreds and thousands of immigrants across the world apply to its Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).
At times, the Provincial Nominee Program serves as the best alternative to express entry program when CRS score drawn through the express entry draw is not met. Additionally, the minimum CLB level for IELTS is also lower than Canada’s Express entry program. In numbers, the combination of Ontario Provincial Nominee Program and Canada Express Entry Program is highly recommended in the last few years.
What is the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)?
The ultimate aim of Ontario PNP is to pick and call skilled and experienced professionals worldwide to boost the economy of the province. After reviewing the profiles in the pool, the province sends selected candidates to IRCC for the final decision on Canadian Permanent Residency Status. In general, there are three categories under Ontario PNP including
- Employer Category
- Human capital category
- Business Category
Ontario Employer category brings applications from three different streams including, Foreign worker stream, International student stream and In-demand skills stream. OINP’s In-Demand Skills targets foreign workers who have work experience in one of the province’s in-demand occupations along with a valid job offer from an Ontario employer.
