• A minimum CLB level 4 in language proficiency test, IELTS
• A minimum of an educational credential equivalent to a Canadian high school diploma
• A minimum of nine months of work experience for full-time, permanent occupation which is in the same in-demand NOC code as listed on Ontario job offer
• A valid licence, certificate, or authorization, if required
• Settlement funds
• A positive intention of living and working in Ontario

Eligible Occupations – OINP In-Demand List:

Ontario Human Capital Category manages applications for its two categories, International Graduate Stream and Ontario’s Express Entry stream. As the name implies, Ontario’s Express entry stream is linked to the Federal government’s Canada Express Entry program and further gets divided into three immigration streams,

• Federal French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream,
• Human Capital Priorities Stream
• Skilled Trades Stream

Basic eligibility criteria for Ontario’s Express entry:

• As this is an express-entry linked profile so, it is mandatory for an applicant to have an Express Entry profile in either Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
• An applicant must have a minimum one year of continuous, full-time work experience in any occupation-in demand
• An applicant must have a minimum of CLB level 7 in Language proficiency test. However, in CEC, the minimum CLB level for NOC B is 5
• An applicant must have sufficient settlement funds to support him/her in Ontario after immigration

What are the In-demand professions in Ontario?

As such, there is no occupation-in demand in the Canadian province, Ontario. It only requires skilled and experienced immigrants in the National Occupation Classification (NOC) category – O, A or B.

• Skill Type 0 – Management Jobs
• Skill Type A –  Professional Jobs with a degree
• Skill Type B –  Technical Jobs

However, for ICT professionals, Ontario has already released a complete list of prioritized ICT occupation list in June 2017 for Notification of Interest (NOI). So, ICT professionals who have experience or job offer for any occupation in the following list, then he/she can receive NOI even with low CRS score

Minimum CRS score requirement for every Ontario draw:

The director decides the minimum CRS score for each Ontario’s draw so all candidates who qualify eligibility criteria can enter their profile in the pool and have chances of receiving the invitation. Ontario issued invitations with CRS score as low as 400 points to the candidates having work experience in any of the following ICT occupations or proficiency in the French language

What is the general processing time for OINP?

As compared to other PNPs, an applicant can enjoy faster processing in Ontario PNP. The processing time of Express entry – Human capital priorities stream is around 60 – 90 days.
