There are many candidates who are foreign workers but are on a valid Work Permit Visa in Saskatchewan. This category is for those people who are currently working and living in Saskatchewan. They can be nominated by SINP through this category for permanent residence.

1. Skilled Worker with Existing Work Permit 

This category is for those candidates who are working and living in Saskatchewan for at least six months. Also, these candidates are on valid work permit visa in Saskatchewan.

Eligibility

• Candidates must have a permanent full-time job offer from any Saskatchewan employer. That job must be in the National Occupation Classification. That is, that job must be in any of the following skill types:

Skill Type 0 (zero): These jobs are management jobs, like restaurant managers, mine managers, shore captains (fishing).

Skill Level A: professional jobs that usually call for a degree from a university, like Doctors, dentists, architects.

Skill Level B: The category includes technical jobs and skilled trades like chefs, plumbers, electricians.

• Candidate must have a valid job approval letter from SINP
• Candidate must have a valid work permit visa issued by IRCC and must have worked for more than six months for the employer providing you with the job. Also, the permanent full-time job offer must be of the same position.
• If the job offer is in NOC ‘C’ then, Candidate must have scored a minimum language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4.
• Candidate must have a proof of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure if his or her occupation is regulated in Saskatchewan and needs compulsory certification or licensure.

2. Semi-skilled Agriculture Worker with Existing Work Permit

This subcategory is designed for semi-skilled workers who have a valid work permit and have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months. 

Eligibility

• If a candidate is applying under this subcategory then the candidate must have a full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer. That job must be in the mentioned below national occupation classification (NOC) occupations:
• NOC 8431: General farm worker
• NOC 8432: Nursery and greenhouse worker.
• Candidate must have a valid job approval letter from SINP.
• Candidate must have a valid work permit visa issued by IRCC, and must have worked for more than six months for the employer providing you the job. Also, the work permit visa must be for one of the mentioned below programs:
• Seasonal Agriculture worker program
• International Experience Canada
• Temporary foreign worker program
• Candidate must have completed the equivalent of a Canadian secondary school education or above by a valid credential assessment.
• If the job offer is in NOC ‘C’ then, Candidate must have scored a minimum language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4.

3. Health Professionals

 This is for those people who are on a temporary work permit as a physician, nurse, or other health professional. Also, these people must have been working full-time in Saskatchewan for a minimum of six months.

There are three streams for the candidate, who wants to apply for SINP nomination as a health professional. Those three streams are:

• Physicians
• Nurse
• Other health professions.

All the above-mentioned streams are different from each other in eligibility criteria. Each stream requires a valid job offer approval letter from SINP.

4. Hospitality sector project

This subcategory is for those foreign workers who are interested in applying for a permanent residency visa and

• Have been working in Saskatchewan on a temporary work permit.
• Have been working with an employer who is approved by SINP hospitality for a minimum of six months or 960 hours.
• Are working in one of the mentioned below jobs:
  • Food/Beverage Server (NOC 6513)
  • Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper (NOC 6711)
  • Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff (NOC 6731)

Eligibility

• Candidate must have been issued a valid work permit by immigration, Refugees and citizenship Canada (IRCC). That work permit must be for one of the following :
  1. Food/Beverage Server (NOC 6513)
  2. Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper (NOC 6711)
  3. Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff (NOC 6731)

• Candidate must have completed at least 12 or its equivalent education.
• Applications from hospitality sector employees who begin working for their employer before the employer receives SINP approval will not be approved by SINP.
• Candidate must have worked in Saskatchewan for at least six months and must meet the standard of employer’s work and performance.
• Candidate must have a full-time employment offer from an approved Saskatchewan hospitality employer.
• Candidate must have scored at least 4 in Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) or more than 4 in all four linguistic abilities.
• Candidate must have a valid SINP job approval Letter.

5. Long-Haul Truck Driver Project

This sub-category gives permission to trucking firms to bring long haul truck drivers to Saskatchewan. In order to qualify for this project, these drivers should meet the following requirements:

• Candidate must start working for an approved trucking firm in Saskatchewan on a temporary foreign work department.
• A trucker may apply for SINP for permanent resident status after working for at least six months with an approved trucking firm that is offering a permanent employment.

Eligibility

• Candidate must be working for a firm that is approved by SINP, for at least six months on a valid temporary work permit issued by IRCC and based on a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Service Canada.
• Candidate must have current Saskatchewan class 1A driver’s licence.
• Candidate must have a full-time permanent employment offer from an approved trucking firm employer in Saskatchewan.
• Candidate must have scored at least 4 in Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) or more than 4 in all four linguistic abilities.
• Candidate must have a valid SINP job approval Letter.

6. Students

This sub-category is for all those students who full-fill the mentioned below criteria:

• Students must have graduated from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in Canada.
• Students who are interested in immigration through SINP

Eligibility

• The student must be graduated from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in Saskatchewan with a certificate, a diploma or a degree.
• The student must have worked for a minimum of six months or 960 hours of a paid employment in Saskatchewan.

That work must include:

• On-campus;
• Off-campus;
• Co-op terms;
• Graduate fellowship that can be verified by the student’s Institute; and
• Work experience gained on a post-graduate work permit.
• Candidate must have a valid post-graduation work permit issued by IRCC
• Candidate must have a permanent employment offer from a Saskatchewan employer in his or her field of study. That work experience must be in N
• That job must be in the National Occupation Classification.
• Candidate must have scored at least 4 in Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) or more than 4 in all four linguistic abilities.
• Candidate must have a valid SINP job approval Letter.
