New Alberta draw issued invitations to express Entry candidates with CRS 300
On June 21, 2019, the Canadian province Alberta released its new draw and issued 262 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to Express Entry candidates with scores as low as 300. After the draw, the number of express entry candidates who received ITAs for a provincial nomination through Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)’s express entry program has reached to a total of 3,816.
AINP’s express entry stream introduced in 2018 and manages applications of candidates from Express entry pool. Express entry program has three high skilled immigration streams including, the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class. This stream benefits an opportunity to obtain Canadian permanent residence to express entry candidates having lower CRS scores.
AINP is one of the most popular Provincial Nominee Programs in Canada in a short span of time. It manages the entry of skilled and experienced candidates to meet the demands of the province’s market.
So, all interested candidates who want to consider their profiles for AINP’s provincial nomination through its express entry-linked stream need to apply online for application for Express entry pool. Based on selection factors like age, work experience, education, language proficiency in English or French, adaptability and arranged employment candidates receive their respective Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
However, only higher-scoring candidates are fortunate to get the invitation to apply for PR in Canada through regular draws. After getting the provincial nomination, they receive an additional 600 points toward their Express entry score.
The cut-off score of 300 in this draw is significantly lower than the minimum CRS score through the Express Entry draw so far in this year, which was 438. To be eligible for this draw, candidates must have a profile in Express Entry pool with a minimum CRS score of 300. In addition to this, they must be working in an occupation which supports “Alberta’s economic development and diversification priorities.” The AINP give priority to candidates having
- a job offer and/or work experience in Alberta;
- a degree from a Canadian post-secondary institution along with a valid job offer; or
- a parent, child or sibling living in Alberta
