Alberta issued 197 invites to candidates with CRS score as low as 301
On May 15, 2019, the province of Alberta issued 197 invites to candidates of its express-entry linked immigration stream for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence. However, the province provided details of the draw this week. The minimum cut-off for the draw was 301.
According to last news on AINP, Alberta has released a total of 14 draws through its Express Entry-linked immigration stream so far in 2019. And, after the draw, the number of express entry candidates who received an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian PR through Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)’s express entry program has reached to a total of 3,554.
In 2019, this is the seventh AINP’s Express entry draw which had CRS score between 300 and 302.
AINP’s express entry stream introduced in 2018 and manages applications of candidates from Express entry pool. Express entry program has three different economic immigration categories including, the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.
AINP is one of the most popular Provincial Nominee Programs in Canada in a short span of time. It manages the entry of skilled and experienced candidates to meet the demands of the province’s market.
So, all interested candidates who want to consider their profiles for AINP’s provincial nomination through its express entry-linked stream need to apply online for application for Express entry pool. Based on selection factors like age, work experience, education, language proficiency in English or French, adaptability and arranged employment candidates receive their respective Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. However, only higher-scoring candidates are fortunate to get the invitation to apply for PR in Canada through regular draws. After getting the provincial nomination, they receive an additional 600 points toward their Express entry score.
So to be eligible for this draw on May 15, 2019, candidates must have a profile in Express Entry pool with a minimum CRS score of 301. In addition to this, they must be working in an occupation which is in demand in the province. The AINP give priority to candidates having
- a job offer and/or work experience in Alberta;
- a degree from a Canadian post-secondary institution along with a valid job offer; or
- a parent, child or sibling living in Alberta
