How to apply for Arrima QSWP (Quebec Skilled Worker Program)?

Quebec has its own rules and regulation for immigration. Its selection criteria and eligibility criteria are different from other provinces of Canada. Through this program highly educated and trained foreign nationals are selected to immigrate to Quebec as skilled workers. So this program is designed for highly educated and trained candidates who want to immigrate to Quebec.

Arrima is an online portal for immigration applications.  Persons who want to migrate to Québec under the Regular Skilled Worker Program are required to create a profile in the new portal Arrima in order to fill out and file an expression of interest form.

This Arrima portal is now open for Quebec Skilled workers. So candidates who want to obtain a Canadian permanent residence through the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) can apply by creating their profile on Arrima portal. After that, the Candidates who will receive an invitation can apply to the Government of Quebec for a Quebec Selection Certificate.

Eligibility

The QSWP was based on first-come, first-served model, but in this, there are no limitations on the number of candidates who can enter the QSWP bank.

The only requirement to submit an application in Arrima portal is that the candidate must be above 18 years. If a candidate is applying for Quebec skilled worker program, then his or her eligibility will be determined by selection factors. Each selection factor has its own maximum points. Based on these maximum points, a total score is awarded to a candidate applying for Quebec skilled worker program. Candidates are required to meet passing score for employability and selection factors in accordance with the QSWP point’s grid.

Minimum Eligibility Required To Qualify under Arrima Quebec Skilled Worker Program:

1. Minimum Age should be 18 Years.
2. Minimum IELTS Requirement should be i.e 5.5 Bands.
3. Latest 5 Years of Working Experience.

How does Arrima portal work?

Applicants who registered themselves on Arrima portal enter a virtual waiting room, where they have to wait until they get any notification of their turn to access the portal.

When they get access, they get 90 minutes in the portal. They are recommended to save their entered information frequently avoid losing the information submitted up to that point in the event one’s 90-minute session expires.

All the registered Candidates have 30 days to complete their profile that will remain valid for one year. Candidates who are in the EOI pool can update their profile with new information or revise the information given at any time during the 12-month validity period.

Those Candidate invited by Quebec to apply for Quebec Selection Certificate (QSC) get a time period of  90 days for submitting their complete application.
