Express Entry Draw invites 3,350 applications with a reduction of 3 points in cut-off
On March 06, 2019, Express Entry Draw issued 3,350 Invitation to Apply to the applications, applied for Canada Express Entry Program for Permanent Residence there. The lowest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 454.
Till date, the number of Invitation to Apply (ITAs) has reached 17,850 in 2019, which is 6,350 more than number of ITAs issued at the same juncture in 2018.
In the previous invitation round, held on February 20, 2019, the score was 457. The reason for the 3-points decrease is the time gap between two successive Express Entry Draws. This time, there were only two weeks elapsed between invitation rounds whereas the CRS score 457 reached after a delay of three weeks between draws.
More time gap leads to the entry of higher scoring candidates in the pool, which leads to an increase in the CRS cut-off score.
Moreover, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) used the time stamp of February 11, 2019, at 17:21:27 UTC for its tie-break rule. It means that all those qualified applications (having at least 454 scores) which have entered in the Express Entry pool before this particular time and date, received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for invitation round.
So, all those internationals who wish to stay or work in Canada can apply for Express Entry Program. There are three sub-categories through it receives applications for Canada PR visa including Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Trades Worker Class, and Canadian Experience Class. Irrespective of sub-categories, all the applications enter the Express Entry pool and evaluate on the basis of age, education, working experience, language proficiency and more.
After evaluation, each application receives CRS score and rank accordingly. IRCC sends Invitation to only the higher-scoring applications to apply for Canada PR visa. The best way to boost up Express ranking score (up to 600 additional points) is receiving the provincial nomination through any of the programs like Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, Ontario Provincial Nominee Program, Nova Scotia PNP and more.
