In February 2019, an increase in Full-time work in Ontario escalates Canadian employment by nearly 56,000. According to the latest statistics, received from Canada’s monthly Labor Force Survey for February, around net employment gain of 37,000 was reported in the month in Ontario. A rise of 59,000 in full-time work balances the loss of 22,000 in part-time work in Ontario.

“Compared to February 2018, National employment in the industry rose by 6.8 per cent (97,000),” the agency reported.
Not just Ontario performed well; however, Alberta and Quebec also contributed to an increase in employment in Canada. For instance, employment in Public administration in Canada posted a gain of around 14,000 in February, out of which, most of these gains recorded in Alberta and Quebec only.
Similarly, Ontario and Quebec together comprised gain of 18,000 workers in different scientific and technical services in February including engineering, architecture, scientific research and development, legal services and accounting.
