The government of Canada has released the latest express entry draw held on October 29, 2018, in which the minimum comprehensive ranking system score was 442. A total of 3,900 invitations to apply or ITAs were issued by Immigration, Refugees and citizenship Canada (IRCC) to those candidates whose score was equal or more than the minimum comprehensive ranking system score(CRS) in this express entry draw. This was the highest number of invitations drawn in 2018.

The Federal Express entry is a program issued by Immigration, Refugees and citizenship Canada (IRCC) to nominate a skilled worker who wants Canada permanent residency visa. This program is for immigrating as a skilled worker. Basically, express entry is an electronic application management system used to select skilled workers for immigration in Canada. In this system, a minimum comprehensive ranking system score (CRS) is fixed for qualifying express entry draw. If your comprehensive ranking system score (CRS) is equal to or more than the fixed minimum comprehensive ranking system score (CRS), then you are considered as qualified. Candidates scoring less than the minimum comprehensive ranking system score (CRS) are considered to be not qualified for express entry. So if you want permanent residency in Canada, you need to qualify express entry first to proceed further. Based on their comprehensive ranking system score (CRS), ranks are given to each candidate in every express entry draw. After ranking, invitations to apply or ITAs are sent to candidates who qualified the express entry draw.

This round brings the number of ITAs issued this year to 74,200 and puts IRCC 778 ITAs behind where it was at this same point in 2017, at which point it had issued 74,978 ITAs.

IRCC’s admissions target for 2017 was 71,700 new permanent residents and the department has established a target of 74,900 for 2018 and 81,400 for 2019.
