Latest Express Entry draw invites 3,350 candidates to apply for Canada PR visa
New Express Entry draw invites 3,350 candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence
On February 20, 2019, the Government of Canada has issued invites to 3,350 aspirants to apply for Canada PR visa in the Express Entry Draw. Since the introduction of express entry draw, none of the previous years has marked such a great start like 2019. Undoubtedly, to date, it has brought many new opportunities for immigrants through the Express Entry system.
Reports say, immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has now issued a total of 14,500 Invitation to Apply (ITAs) in 2019, which is equivalent to 70% of increment in the number of ITAs issued in the same duration in the previous year.
Moreover, the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for the latest Express Entry was 457, which is 19 points higher than the draw held on January, 30. Experts believe the reason for the rise in CRS is three weeks gap between the draws.
The more the time gaps between draws, the more the number of higher-scoring candidates. It ultimately steps up the CRS scorecard for immigrants.
As a result of time gaps, IRCC has to apply its tie-break rule too this time. The time stamp used was December 6, 2018, at 12:38:11 UTC. So, the candidates who qualified the minimum CRS score eligibility, however, did not enter their profiles in the Express entry pool before the selected time and date would not receive an ITA in the invitation round.
