Latest Express Entry Draw’s Cut-off Drops Again
IRCC is now inviting interested sponsors to apply to its parents and grandparents program. Canada’s parents and grandparents program is a part of family sponsorship. It allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents having above 18 years to sponsor their parents or grandparents in Canada for permanent residence status.
On May 01, 2019, Express entry draw issued invites to 3,350 candidates for Canadian permanent residence. After this draw, the total number of Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in 2019 through Express Entry program has reached to 31,250, which is 6,750 more than the number of ITAs issued in 2018 for the same time period. IRCC issued total 89,000 ITAs in the year 2018 and under the three year immigration plan, the government of Canada is planning to increase the total many folds.
Since February 2019, cut off score has been dropping after every consecutive draw except the draw held on April 17 as in that draw, the cut-off was same as that of the previous one. In today’s draw, minimum CRS score was 450, which is one point lower than the minimum score of the previous draw on April 17 having a score of 452.
Moreover, the tie-break used for the May 1 draw was November 5, 2018, at 12:27:07 UTC. So, only those candidates who achieved a minimum of CRS score of 450, as well as entered their profiles in the Express Entry pool before this date and time are eligible for ITA through the draw.
Interested candidates can apply to express entry program through any of its economic immigration categories including Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.
