Manitoba issued invitations to skilled workers and international graduates
On June 07, 2019, the Canadian province Manitoba issued 209 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to immigration candidates through its Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education streams. Of total LAAs issued, 121 invites went to candidates of Skilled Workers in Manitoba, 60 went to Skilled Workers Overseas and 28 to International Education Stream.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is one of the most popular PNPs which nominate a large number of prospects having skills and experience for Canadian permanent residence to meet the shortage of labor in the province’s market. Last year, it brought a record number of 5,207 immigration candidates as permanent residents in the province. Of which 65% of candidates were from Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream and 33% were from Skilled Workers Overseas stream.
MPNP’s Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream:
It received Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible temporary foreign workers and international student graduates who are currently working in the province and have a valid job offer from Manitoba employer for a permanent, full-time job.
MPNP’s Skilled Workers Overseas Stream:
It received Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible candidates living outside Canada; however, have connections in Manitoba like family members, friends or possess some previous education or work experience in Manitoba. In addition to this, selection for this stream can be made on an invitation through MPNP’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.
In the draw, all 60 LAAs of Skilled Workers Overseas get invited directly through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
MPNP’s International Education Stream:
It received Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible international graduates who have completed education from Manitoba post-secondary institutions.
So, if you want to consider your profile for MPNP’s nomination through these streams, then submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the MPNP. Based on your education, work experience, language proficiency, connections in Manitoba and more, you will get the rank in the pool of candidates. Only higher-scoring candidates receive LAAs through regular draws.
However, 18 Express entry candidates who receive LAAs through MPNP must have a profile in express entry pool, a job validation code and work experience in an occupation listed in Manitoba’s In-Demand Occupations list.
Express Entry system has three sub-categories including Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) through which it selects the eligible candidates for immigration.
In the previous draw of MPNP held on May 23, 2019, the lowest score for Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream was 548 only, however, in this draw, it dropped to 542. The lowest score for the Skilled Worker Overseas stream was 506; whereas, for this latest draw, it reached 701.
