New Express Entry draw invites 3,350 applicants for Canadian permanent residence
On April 17, 2019, New Express Entry Draw released in which 3,350 invitations to apply (ITAs) went to Express Entry candidates for Canadian permanent residence. After this draw, the total number of ITAs has reached to 27,900 in 2019, which are 6,900 more than the previous year’s ITAs issued by April 17.
Express entry system manages applications for its three economic categories including Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class. All categories operate through a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) in which selection factors are age, education, work experience, language proficiency, adaptability and arranged employment.
Only higher-scoring candidates get Invitation to apply (ITA) through regular draws for permanent residence. There are numbers of options to improve Express entry score, in which provincial nomination is the most prominent. All the candidates who receive provincial nomination get an additional of 600 CRS points to their scorecard, which makes easier for candidates to have ITA in subsequent express entry draw.
