Nova Scotia Express Entry category reopens for new applications
Popular Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry category one of four pathways to the province for Express Entry candidates
Nova Scotia is an Atlantic province of Canada. The program through which the province Nova Scotia selects interested migrants is Nova Scotia PNP. Every Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) has a stream that is linked to Express Entry. Nova Scotia reopened one of its most popular Express Entry-linked provincial nomination categories on Saturday, November 17, at 9 a.m. Atlantic Standard Time for up to 225 applications
Most of the people who want to migrate to Canada apply through this Category because:
- This category provides successful candidates with a provincial nomination and an additional 600 ranking points, effectively guaranteeing an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
- This category does not require a Canadian job offer or Canadian work experience.
- This category has no minimum Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) score requirement.
Express Entry stream of the Nova Scotia Demand category has a category B that is known as first-come, first-served category. That means the candidates who fill his or her form first will get selected for the further procedure. This stream was last opened on April 28, 2018, and it reached its limited seat within few hours and closed to new applicants as the numbers of seats were filled.

Candidates who want to apply for this category must have a work experience and that work experience must be in one of the Nova Scotia’s 11 opportunity occupations along with other eligibility criteria.
The November 17 opening was typical of the competitive intake process for Category B, which operates on a first-come, first served basis. This means Nova Scotia accepts applications in the order they are submitted until the intake quota is met, which usually occurs within a matter of hours.
The November 17 intake period was no exception to this rule, lasting less than two hours. This was on par with previous intakes for Category B, the most recent of which occurred on April 28, 2018, for 350 applications and also ended just hours after it opened.
