Nova Scotia issued invites to express Entry candidates with work experience
On June 3, 2019, Nova Scotia released a new draw in which it issued invites to 312 immigration candidates with eligible work experience as early childhood educators and assistants through its Labor Market Priorities Stream. Since the introduction of this stream, it has been the second draw which aims at the entry of Entry candidates with work experience in early childhood education.
The Canadian province Nova Scotia operates its Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) to nominate eligible prospects with appropriate skills and work experience for Canadian permanent residence. Till date, NSNP has eight immigration pathways to meet the needs of the province’s market. In the previous year, it successfully marked a record for the entry of immigrants as new permanent residents in the province.
Labor Market Priorities Stream is an express entry linked immigration program which allows the province to nominate the eligible candidates from federal Express Entry pool for measuring up the shortage of labor in the market.
Federal Express Entry system manages the pool for applications coming from its three economic immigration categories including Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.
All those candidates of Express entry pool who receive a provincial nomination from any PNP like NSNP; get an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. It increases the chances of getting the invitation to apply (ITA) from the government of Canada for PR.
So if you want to consider your profile for a provincial nomination through Nova Scotia’s Labor Market Priorities Stream, then you need to create a profile in the Express Entry pool.
Other requirements for Nova Scotia’s Labor Market Priorities Stream include,
- An applicant must complete post-secondary education in early childhood education for children aged 0 to 8 years;
- He/she needs to provide a proof for completion a two-year or more program at a university, college, technical school, or any other institute; and
- He/she needs to submit a letter of reference from employers mentioning work experience for a minimum of five years in NOC 4214 (Early childhood educators and assistants).
- In addition to this, candidates must submit their Express Entry profile on or after August 8, 2018, to become eligible for the invite through the draw held on June 03, 2019.
