Ontario revises CRS minimum rule for Human Capital Priorities Stream
How to apply for OINP?
The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement for its Express Entry-linked Human Capital Priorities immigration stream has been revised by Ontario. Earlier Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 400 was required by Candidates but now the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score will be determined by the director.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is operated by the province of Ontario in partnership with the federal government through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The OINP assesses applications and nominates candidates for permanent residence. Candidates who are nominated by the OINP can apply for permanent residence through IRCC. At last, IRCC makes the final decision on each application and issues permanent resident visas to successful applicants.
Foreign skilled workers in the Express Entry pool with the required education, work experience, language proficiency, and other characteristics to establish economically and settle in the province of Ontario are selected by Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream of Ontario.
Human Capital Priorities (HCP) allows the OINP to search the federal Express Entry pool for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of the stream.
A total of 3,534 notifications of Interest to selected Express Entry candidates through the HCP in 2018 have been issued by Ontario.
