Quebec Issued 444 Invitations To Apply For Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ)
In September 2018, the Arrima immigration application management system was introduced to manage Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles for the QSWP. It targets to ease the entry of immigration candidates to the specific labor needs of employers around the province. Recently, the province provided details on its latest draw held on August 19 in which it issued 444 invitations to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate (Certificat de sélection du Québec, or CSQ).
In the first round of invitation held on August 19, 2019 through Arrima, it targeted candidates with
An Arrima profile and filed an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the Ministère before Dec. 17, 2019, and;
An application under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) which was terminated, under Section 28 of Quebec’s Act to enhance socio-economic prosperity in the province and to meet the demands of labor market through successful immigrant integration (the Act), and;
Fulfills one of these conditions,
- An application, which was terminated under the Act, and was submitted to the Minister under Section 5.01 of the Regulation; or
- Working or studying in the province at the time of application and had application for a Quebec Selection Certificate terminated on June 16, 2019
On June 16, 2019, the government of Quebec had brought new reforms to Quebec’s immigration laws in which it cancelled around 16,000 pending applications to the QSWP. All the applications which got cancelled had been filed before the introduction of Arrima.
If you are interested in immigrating to Quebec under its Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) with Arrima profiles, then you first need to submit the Expression of Interest through Arrima. Under the EOI system, interested applicants need to create a profile in Arrima. Based on the factors like age, education, area of training, work experience and proficiency in French, scores are awarded to each profile and higher scoring profiles receive invitation to apply for a CSQ.
