Express entry is a program issued by Immigration, Refugees and citizenship Canada (IRCC) for skilled worker immigrants who want Canada permanent residency visa. This program is for immigration as a skilled worker. Basically, express entry is an electronic application management system used to select skilled workers for immigration in Canada. In this system, a minimum comprehensive ranking system score (CRS) is fixed for qualifying express entry draw. If your comprehensive ranking system score (CRS) is equal to or more than the fixed minimum comprehensive ranking system score (CRS), then you are considered as qualified. Candidates scoring less than the minimum comprehensive ranking system score (CRS) are considered to be not qualified for express entry. So if you want permanent residency in Canada, you need to qualify express entry first to proceed further. Based on their comprehensive ranking system score (CRS), ranks are given to each candidate in every express entry draw. After ranking, invitations to apply or ITAs are sent to candidates who qualified the express entry draw.
