Two Arrima Draws in December Issued A Total of 305 Invitations
The government of the province of Quebec provided details on its latest draws held on December 12 and December 17 in which it issued 220 and 85 invitations to immigration candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate (Certificat de sélection du Québec, or CSQ) respectively. Since July 04, it has issued around 2,062 invitations through Arrima portal.
In 2018, the Arrima immigration application management system was introduced to manage the Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles for the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP). The introduction of Arrima replaced the first-come-first-served approach which often led to the acceptance of ineligible applications to the QSWP.
Under the new EOI system, the goal is to ease the entry of only eligible immigration candidates to fulfill the specific labor needs of employers around the province. For that, interested candidates need to create a profile in Arrima and provide information on factors like age, education, area of training, work experience and French proficiency.
Based on the responses for human capital factors, all profiles under the Arrima system are evaluated and scored. Candidates with higher scores or work experience Quebec in-demand occupations to meet labor shortages in the province’s outlying regions are invited to apply for a CSQ.
Invited candidates with a CSQ can apply for Canada PR through Federal immigration ministry. It requires some documents like copy of medical examination and Police Clearance Certificate (PCC).
Invited candidates through the draw held on December 17, 2019, were either except from the cap that was earlier included in Regular Skilled Worker Program at the time of application or they were residing in the province on a study or work permit on June 16, 2019 when 16,000 applications of Regular Skilled Worker Program were cancelled.
In the draw on December 12, 2019, invited candidates either had a valid offer of employment, or were residing in the province and carrying out official duties like diplomats, consular officers, and representatives of an intergovernmental organization there.
If you are interested in immigrating to Quebec under its Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) with Arrima profiles, then you first need to submit the Expression of Interest through Arrima.
